The Baiting House

We’re a historic country inn at the heart of our community, but we’re so much more. We offer memorable food in our Michelin Guide acclaimed dining room, as well as rooms and luxury lodges with private hot tubs nestled in the extensive grounds.

The Baiting House is a rural bolthole for couples, families and dog lovers alike as well as foodies, wine lovers and affectionados of the best local ales and ciders.

In the middle of nowhere yet less than an hour from Birmingham, and around 2 hours from Manchester, Liverpool and Bristol.

Our dining room is listed in the 2025 Michelin Guide and is open for dinner from Wednesday to Sunday, as well as lunch on Thursday to Saturday and an amazing Sunday Lunch.

Discover cosy rooms in the building as well as Lodges scattered around the grounds. Many have their own private hot tubs.

Our accommodation is the perfect base to explore the surrounding countryside or simply to chill and relax.

It’s our 10th Birthday!

This May marks 10 wonderful years since The Baiting House re-opened.

To celebrate this milestone, we’re hosting a 10-Year Anniversary Weekend from Saturday 30th to Sunday 31st May.

It will be a special couple of days filled with live music, a celebratory anniversary menu inspired by the past decade, and a sunny patio BBQ on Sunday as a relaxed grand finale
