Administrative Assistant

We are looking for an enthusiastic administrative assistant to join our small collection of country pubs with rooms.  

Here at The Baiting House Collection, we have four locations. Our largest location, The Baiting House, has just been listed in the Michelin Guide for 2023 and we’re experiencing record levels of business. Between the locations we have 44 bedrooms, so we’re not exactly the Hilton Group but we are focused on high quality accommodation and great guest experiences.

 As an Administrative Assistant you will deal with phone and email enquiries regarding accommodation, table bookings and events and functions. For the right candidate we can also offer involvement in our accounting, HR and marketing roles. There’s plenty of scope to grow your career, with training provided if needed.

Your Duties will include:

  •    answering phone and email enquiries;

  •    dealing with guest requests and issues during office opening hours;

  •    liaising with our management and housekeeping teams to ensure the smooth operation of our sites;

  •   keeping our HR records up to date;

  •    helping with the administrative side of recruitment;

  •    dealing with wedding and event bookings;

  •    monitoring review sites and social media.

 

What you’ll need to qualify for the job:

  •   You MUST be computer literate and have a good understanding of Microsoft Outlook and online reservation systems.

  •   Familiarity with social media from a business perspective

  •   At least 2 years’ experience in an office environment, ideally in the hospitality industry

  •   A Full Driving Licence, as our main office is not connected to public transport and you will occasionally need to drive to other sites (none more than 30 minutes away).

  •   The ability to work on the Saturday morning.
