Assistant Manager
The Role
We are looking for an energetic and capable Assistant Manager for The Rodney, our stunning country house pub and hotel set in rural Worcestershire.
An assistant manager’s main role is to focus on the day to day operations of the site, but you’ll also be involved in the strategic development of the business into the future. The key objective of this role is to ensure that sales and profitability are maximised and there is a strong focus on customer/guest service.
Assistant Manager Key Responsibilities:
To ensure that all staff receive the highest quality training in guest service standards and the drive to maintain these standards. The objective is to exceed guest expectations at all times.
To be an exceptional and professional ambassador for the Rodney and the wider Baiting House Collection in all your business relationships.
Perform Duty Management shifts as required ensuring that you are accessible and show a presence throughout the hotel interacting with guests, staff, suppliers and contractors.
Assist the management team and work with Housekeeping to ensure that the customer service is at the fore front of all we do assisting the service in all areas and maintaining a managerial presence at all times to guide the team and look after our guest needs.
You will need:
Minimum 2 year hospitality experience
A friendly and approachable manner
Ability to work without close supervision
Understandable level of English spoken and written
Enthusiasm to develop your own skills and knowledge
Adaptability to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processes
Team player qualities
High level of attention to detail
