We have six bedrooms here at the Baiting House – three in the main pub building and three in a modern annex to the rear.

All our rooms have been recently refurbished to a very high standard and offer comfy beds, Egyptian cotton linens, flat screen TVs, Nespresso machines and luxury toiletries.

Two of our rooms (Goldings and Fuggles, named after local hop varieties) are deluxe, each with a bath tub and shower and have great views over the surrounding countryside.

The other four rooms are smaller, but equally well-equipped with lovely bedding and power showers. Three of these rooms sleep two adults, and we also have a family room “Holmer” with a king and a single bed to accommodate three guests.

Our Rooms

Fuggles and Goldings

Fuggles and Goldings are our largest, nicest rooms with king size beds and bathtubs. They are located in the main pub building.  Goldings has a separate bathtub and shower, while Fuggles has a shower over the bath. However, Fuggles has a slightly larger bedroom and (even) nicer views so we think they’re equally great!

Pioneer is definitely a little cosy but has plenty of room for two adults. It’s located on the first floor in in the main building. It’s not really suitable for adding an extra cot, although it will accommodate one dog bed.

Holmer is located in the accommodation wing at the rear of the Baiting House. It’s a large room, with a king size bed and an additional single bed, so it can be used as a twin room for two travellers or as a family room for 3 people. Please note that the additional single bed will not be made up with bed linens unless you book for 3 people or request twin beds.

Russet is located on the ground floor in the accommodation wing at the rear. It offers accommodation for up to two with one king bed. Russet isn’t really suitable for adding an extra cot, although it will accommodate one dog bed.

Pippin is located on the ground floor in the accommodation wing at the rear. It offers accommodation for up to two with one double bed. Pippin is a small room, so can’t accommodate an extra cot, although it will accommodate one dog bed

We operate a strict no-smoking policy throughout the interior of the Baiting House. We make a charge of £100 for cleaning rooms where the no-smoking policy has been violated.

We have free Wi-Fi available throughout the Baiting House. Mobile reception is different matter – you will struggle to get a signal in most of the property. Make the most of the peace and quiet!
