Imagine a long weekend or a midweek break relaxing in your private hot tub then wandering across the field to The Baiting House for amazing food and drink each evening.
These aren’t your typical rustic wooden lodges – they are contemporary with big glass doors to maximise light. They’re built to the same standard as houses, with insulation and central heating that keep you cosy even in the depths of winter.
Each Lodge is equipped with a private bathroom with power shower and loo as well as a full kitchen. There’s one bedroom (with king sized bed) as well as a large sofa bed in the living / dining room.
Lodge Guest Information
Lodges bookings do NOT include breakfast. Lodges guests and non-residents can enjoy breakfast with us for £12.50.
The cancellation policy for our Lodges requires all amendments and cancellations to be finalised by THIRTY (3O) days prior to the booked arrival date. Any changes following this time will result in a 100% charge being applied to the credit card used to confirm the booking. Please note any booking cancellations must be received in writing.
We ask for a deposit of 30% of the cost of your Lodge accommodation when you book. The full balance must then be paid no later than 30 days before your arrival date. If you fail to make payment of the balance, the 30% payment then becomes non-returnable and your booking will be cancelled. If you want to cancel a booking you must notify us in writing by email. If you do so more than 30 days before the date of arrival we will refund your deposit.
Check in is from 4pm onwards. Check out time for our Lodges is 10am. Charges may apply in the case of late check-out.
We’re proud to accept well behaved dogs in our rooms and in the public areas of the Baiting House (except the main restaurant area). There is an additional charge of £15 per stay per dog for overnight doggie guests. A complimentary water bowl and dogs biscuits are available in the bar.
Each Lodge has its own private hot tub. We do provide beach towels for the Lodges, but we don’t provide bathrobes or footwear, so you may want to bring along a bathrobe and flip flops to make getting in and out of your tub more comfortable. PLEASE note the hygiene information contained in your welcome pack regarding the hot tubs – avoid getting into them wearing fake tan and, most importantly, no glass is to be brought into or anywhere near the hot tub. Broken glass means that the hot tubs are not usable for several days, and we unfortunately need to charge for any losses caused by breaches of these simple rules.
Restricted Mobility Guests
The Lodges are in a separate field and require a walk from your car, in some cases uphill. We therefore do not recommend them for customers with restricted mobility. The Baiting House itself does have step-free access, a disabled WC and accommodation for those with restricted mobility.
We operate a strict no-smoking policy throughout the interior of the Baiting House. We make a charge of £100 for cleaning rooms where the no-smoking policy has been violated.
We have free Wi-Fi available throughout the Baiting House. Mobile reception is different matter – you will struggle to get a signal in most of the property. Make the most of the peace and quiet!
Damage to Lodges
We understand that a certain amount of wear and tear is inevitable and this applies to the odd smashed glass or broken plate. However, if something does get damaged during your stay at the Lodges do let us know ASAP so that it can be fixed or replaced. We do reserve the right to charge for more serious damage and breakages such as incidents to carpets, furniture, electrical and kitchen equipment, broken windows etc. For this reason we block a £100 security deposit against the credit card used to pay for Lodges bookings. This is refunded on check-out unless required to pay for damage.
