Food & Drink

Here at The Baiting House we're passionate about supporting local farmers, butchers and producers.

Our kitchen uses simple,  seasonal ingredients to create amazing food that gives a new twist to traditional British dishes.

Private Dining

Just across from the Baiting House is The Clubhouse – a self-contained building that is perfectly suited for private dinners, parties and meetings. It will accommodate up to 32 guests in a clubby atmosphere.

The Clubhouse is served by dedicated waiting staff when booked for a private function. We can work with you to create a special menu for that special day.

For larger parties we can also offer exclusive use of the whole dining room.

Drinks

We’re as passionate about local produce with our drinks as we are with our food. Our ale selection focuses on the great beers produced by the Wye Valley Brewery just down the road, complemented by ales from Hobsons Brewery in Cleobury Mortimer and the Ludlow Brewery.

Our ciders are from Tenbury Wells and from Herefordshire. We even take the local theme to our spirits, where we stock the entire selection of gins and vodkas produced by the amazing Chase Distillery. You’ll also find a few Chase cocktails available.

Our wine list reflects our approach to enjoying good food and good wine. It offers all the classics but also tries to be a little bit adventurous. We offer a wide selection of delicious wines by the glass, and also have a “private reserve” of great quality wines for that special occasion. You’ll find our main wine list here

If you have any special dietary requirements (for example if you are gluten or lactose intolerant), please inform your server and our chefs will do their best to accommodate your needs.

Allergen Information

If you suffer from a food allergy or intolerance, please let your server know upon placing your order.

As all our food is prepared fresh, our chefs are aware of any allergens in every dish prepared, so please ask your server in the restaurant should you require any more details.

Every care is taken to avoid any cross-contamination when processing a specific allergen-free order. We do however work in a kitchen that processes allergenic ingredients and does not have a specific allergen-free zone or separate dedicated fryers.
